Glasgow Caledonian University, a proud  partner of AHZ, has just been named the UK's Modern University of the Year in a major national ranking by the Daily Mail University Guide 2025. This is a huge achievement!

Among all the "modern universities" (those set up after 1992), Glasgow Caledonian is recognised as the best. The university didn’t just get this title; it’s also now ranked 40th out of all universities in the UK, moving up four spots from last year.

Daily Mail University Guide 2025 shows that Glasgow Caledonian University does a great job helping students get into skilled jobs. The university is ranked 15th in the UK for the number of graduates who get high-skilled jobs within 15 months after graduating—81.5% of their graduates, to be exact.

This means many students find good jobs that use their knowledge and skills, showing the university's strong support in getting students ready for their careers.

The university is also ranked 9th in the “career on track” category. This measures how many graduates feel good about their career path 15 months after finishing their degree. It means that most graduates are happy with how their careers are going, showing the university is helping them succeed.

The Daily Mail University Guide ranks 129 universities each year and looks at 12 different things, like how happy students are with their classes, how well students are supported, job outcomes, salaries, and even how many first-generation students (those whose parents didn’t go to university) attend. This new guide has only been around for two years but already gives a good picture of how UK universities are doing overall.
